Trafficking training

Every month, AWU provides trafficking law trainings and give a speech after visiting many work-sites because Most Burmese people are coming to Thailand with brokers.

the broker may be victim’s friend, relationship and Expert in Thailand. Most brokers go to find small villagers in Myanmar who have no knowledge and awareness. if found, double-cross that Thailand is a good country to find money easily and daily income is 500 baht with overtime pay.( Thai Baht 500- Burma 1500 Kyats) Brokers say if one comes to work in Thailand, must pay 300000 or 200000 kyat – 10000 or 7000 Baht for guideline and applying in a good factory. When worker has arrived in Thailand, fetched broker runs way or send off agricultural sites or fissure which are so far from township. Another way of brokers’ foxy task carries out is showing the Mae Sot factory’s daily income 80 to 140 bahts and then persuades that Bangkok factories have good salary every month by showing incentive. In the same way, after taking 12000 baht, many brokers are carrying Bangkok by taking a walk through the high mountains takes 3 or 4 days. Those who are sent off by brokers have no life security, if the traveling is met with gangs on the mountain, especially women are raped. (May be get into death after that)AWU mostly has resolved like above-mentioned case, therefore AWU suggests that need plenty trainings with regard to human rights, labour rights and law, trafficking, women rights and child rights.
